Buckautal
Buckautal is a municipality in the district of Jerichow in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Elbe river, approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Tangermünde and 10 kilometers west of Genthin. The municipality was formed on January 1, 2009, from the amalgamation of several formerly independent villages. These villages include Buckau, Alterdingen, Bergzow, Bredow, and Parey. Each of these constituent parts retains its own distinct history and character.
The area around Buckautal has a long agricultural tradition, with fertile soil along the Elbe floodplain supporting
