Brutoväärtus, meaning "gross value" in Estonian, refers to the total value of something before any deductions or subtractions are made. This concept is widely applied in various economic and financial contexts. For instance, in the context of wages, brutoväärtus represents the total salary earned by an employee before taxes, social security contributions, or other mandatory deductions are taken out. Similarly, when discussing the value of a company's assets, brutoväärtus would be the sum of all assets at their full, unadjusted worth.
