Brekstad
Brekstad is a town and the administrative center of Ørland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located on the Fosen Peninsula, on the southern shore of the Trondheimsfjord, approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) west of the mouth of thefjord. The town is situated on the mainland, across the fjord from the island of Storfosna.
The settlement of Brekstad grew around its harbor, which has historically been important for trade and fishing.
Brekstad serves as a commercial and service center for the surrounding rural areas of the Fosen Peninsula.
