Bredsnabb

Bredsnabb is a type of Swedish speedster locomotive used by the Swedish State Railways (Statens Järnvägar) from the 1950s to the 1970s. The name "bredsnabb" can be translated to "broad speedster" in English. The locomotive was designed to be flexible and capable of hauling various types of trains and cargo.

The Bredsnabb locomotive was equipped with a 1,200 horsepower diesel engine, which enabled it to reach speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour. This was impressive for its time and made the Bredsnabb a reliable and efficient choice for transporting goods and passengers across Sweden.
