Brantas

Brantas is a major river in East Java, Indonesia. It forms one of the principal drainage basins in the region and has long been important for agriculture, settlements, and flood management.

The river originates in the southern highlands of East Java, with headwaters in the upland areas near the province’s southern border. It generally flows northward toward the Madura Strait, draining a basin that covers multiple regencies and urban areas.
