Bluehole

Bluehole, Inc. is a South Korean video game company founded in 2007. The company is best known for developing and publishing the battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). Bluehole has since rebranded itself as Krafton Game Union, but the Bluehole name often remains associated with its early success.

The company's journey began with the development of various games, but it was the acquisition of the rights to develop a game based on Brendan Greene's work that led to their global breakthrough. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, released in early access in March 2017, quickly became a commercial success, attracting millions of players and setting new benchmarks for the battle royale genre. Following the immense success of PUBG, Bluehole, along with its subsidiaries, consolidated under the parent company Krafton in 2018.
