Billund

Billund is a town in central Denmark, located in the Jutland region and serving as the seat of Billund Municipality in the Region of Southern Denmark. It sits inland between larger towns and is best known for being the home of the LEGO Group and the site of Legoland Billund Resort, a major draw for visitors from Denmark and abroad.

The town’s modern growth is closely tied to the LEGO Group, which was founded in Billund in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen. The company’s success and the adjacent Legoland theme park, opened in 1968, helped shape Billund’s development from a rural settlement into a center of manufacturing and tourism.
