Bildenheter
Bildenheter is a Swedish term that translates to "image units" or "picture elements" and is commonly used in the context of digital imaging. It refers to the smallest individual component of a digital image, akin to a dot on a screen or a pixel in a digital photograph. Each bildenhet holds a discrete value representing its color and intensity. The arrangement and combination of millions of these bildenheter form the complete digital image that we perceive. The density of bildenheter, often measured in pixels per inch (PPI) or dots per inch (DPI), determines the resolution and detail of an image. Higher bildenherten density generally results in sharper and more detailed images, especially when enlarged. In essence, bildenheter are the fundamental building blocks of all digital visual representations, from photographs and graphics to video frames.
