Beskargam

Beskargam is a traditional Turkish board game that is played on a rectangular board with 40 holes, arranged in four rows of ten. The game is also known as "Mankala" or "Kalah" in other parts of the world, as it belongs to the larger family of mancala games. Beskargam is typically played by two players, each having their own set of six holes, and the remaining eight holes are used for storing captured stones.

The objective of Beskargam is to capture more stones than the opponent. Each player starts with an equal number of stones, usually six, placed in their own six holes. Players take turns sowing their stones from one hole to the next in a counter-clockwise direction. When a player's last stone lands in an empty hole on their own side and the opposite hole has stones, they can capture those stones. The captured stones are then placed in the player's store.

The game continues until all the stones have been captured or placed in the stores. The player with the most stones in their store at the end of the game wins. Beskargam is a game of strategy and skill, requiring players to think several moves ahead and anticipate their opponent's moves. It is a popular game in Turkey and is often played socially or competitively. The game has cultural significance and is often associated with family gatherings and social events.
