Berghaus

Founded in 1966 by Gordon Davies and Peter Stokoe in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, the company initially focused on importing and selling high-quality camping and mountaineering gear. The name "Berghaus" is derived from German, meaning "mountain house." Over time, Berghaus began designing and manufacturing its own products, gaining a reputation for innovative and durable outdoor apparel and backpacks.

A key development for the brand was the introduction of their proprietary waterproof and breathable fabric technology, AQ2, and later, AquaFoil. Berghaus is particularly well-known for its range of rucksacks, including the popular Cyclops and Mutant series, which are favored by hikers and climbers. The company also produces a wide variety of outdoor clothing, such as jackets, fleeces, and trousers, designed for various weather conditions and activities.
