Beordran is a fictional city-state in the northern highlands of the continent of Virel. Known for its stone architecture and vibrant trade, Beordran sits on the Beorn River at the edge of rolling foothills. The name Beordran is thought to derive from older languages meaning "fortress by the river." The city experiences a temperate climate with cold winters and moderate summers.

Beordran is governed by the Merchant Council, a plural body of guildmasters who oversee civic affairs and trade policy. The council appoints a ceremonial ruler known as the First Among Equals, whose role is largely symbolic.
