Bentransplantat

Bentransplantat is a term that can refer to several different medical procedures involving the transplantation of bone tissue. The primary purpose of a bone graft is to repair or rebuild damaged bone. This damage can result from trauma, disease such as cancer, or congenital defects. Bone grafts are also commonly used in spinal fusion surgery to stabilize vertebrae and in dental procedures to augment jawbone.

There are several types of bone grafts. Autografts involve using bone from another part of the patient's own body. This is often considered the gold standard as it minimizes the risk of rejection. Synthetic bone graft substitutes, made from materials like calcium phosphate or bioactive glass, are also available and can stimulate bone growth.

Recovery time also depends on the type of graft, the patient's health, and the complexity of the procedure.
