Beninese

Beninese refers to people or things originating from or relating to the West African nation of Benin. The Republic of Benin, formerly known as Dahomey, is a country bordered by Togo to the west, Nigeria to the east, and Burkina Faso and Niger to the north. Its coastline lies on the Gulf of Guinea. The population of Benin is diverse, comprising numerous ethnic groups. Among the most prominent are the Fon, Adja, Yoruba, Bariba, and Fulani peoples. Each group possesses its own distinct cultural traditions, languages, and historical narratives.
