Beaucaire

Beaucaire is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. It is located approximately 10 kilometers north of Nîmes, the capital of the Occitanie region. The commune has a population of around 14,000 inhabitants and covers an area of 18.5 square kilometers.

The town is known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Beaucaire was founded in the 1st century BC by the Romans, who named it after the Roman general Gaius Marius.
