Bazinelor

Bazinelor is the Romanian plural genitive/dative form of bazin, commonly used to refer to basins in hydrology and geology. In English, the term is typically translated as basins. In hydrology, a basin, or drainage basin, is the land area from which all precipitation drains toward a common outlet such as a river, lake, or sea. The boundary of a basin is defined by topographic divides.

Hydrological basins comprise rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands, and groundwater systems. They operate under the water cycle, with inputs (precipitation), outputs (evaporation, discharge), and storage both on and beneath the surface. Examples include major sedimentary basins like the North Sea Basin and the East African Rift Basin; in Europe, the Pannonian Basin is a large Neogene-Quaternary sedimentary basin.
