Basbild
Basbild is a term used in some Scandinavian language contexts to denote a base image. In image processing, basbild refers to the primary reference image that serves as a frame for analysis, alignment, or compositing. It is often the image from which features are extracted or to which subsequent images are registered, aligned, or subtracted. In video surveillance and computer vision, the basbild can function as the background model against which foreground objects are detected, or as the first frame in a sequence used for motion estimation.
