Bartensleben

Bartensleben is a district of the town of Schöningen in the Helmstedt district of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located in the eastern part of the district.

Historically, Bartensleben was an independent village. Its origins are believed to date back to the Middle Ages. Like many rural settlements in the region, its economy was primarily agricultural. Over time, it experienced changes in administrative structures.

In 1974, Bartensleben was incorporated into the town of Schöningen as part of a municipal reform. This integration brought Bartensleben under the administration of Schöningen, linking its fate with the larger town.
