Baroué

Baroué is a small village located in the northern part of Togo. It is situated in the Kara Region, approximately 600 kilometers north of the capital city, Lomé. The village is part of the Tône Prefecture. The primary ethnic group in Baroué and the surrounding areas are the Kabyè people. Their traditional lifestyle is largely agricultural, with staples like yams, sorghum, and millet forming the basis of their diet.

The landscape around Baroué is characterized by rolling hills and savannah. Like many rural Togolese communities, access to modern amenities such as electricity and running water can be limited. Traditional housing structures, often made from mud and thatch, are common. The local economy is driven by subsistence farming and small-scale trade.
