Bardziej

bardziej is a Polish adverb used to express a higher degree of a quality described by an adjective or by another adverb. It translates as "more" or "more so" in English and is a common element in the analytic form of comparison in Polish.

In Polish, comparison can be expressed in two main ways: with synthetic forms (such as szybszy, ciekawszy) and with analytic forms using bardziej or mniej. bardziej is typically used with adjectives or adverbs where a synthetic form is awkward, unusual, or not available, or simply in everyday speech. It usually precedes the word it modifies: bardziej interesujący, bardziej kolorowy, bardziej poważny. It is also used in constructions with niż to emphasize a stronger contrast: bardziej <adjective> niż ...
