Baratheon

Baratheon is a fictional noble house from the world of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series and its television adaptation, Game of Thrones. The house is known for its strength and martial prowess. Its sigil is a crowned black stag on a golden field. The words of House Baratheon are "Ours is the Fury."

The founder of House Baratheon was Orys Baratheon, a bastard half-brother of Aegon the Conqueror. He established the Stormlands and its seat, Storm's End, after defeating and killing the last Storm King. For generations, the Baratheons ruled the Stormlands as loyal vassals of the Targaryen dynasty.

The most prominent member of House Baratheon in recent history is Robert Baratheon, who led a rebellion against the Targaryens and became King of the Seven Kingdoms. After Robert's death, his brothers, Stannis and Renly, vied for the Iron Throne, leading to further conflict and the eventual decline of the main Baratheon line.
