Balpressar

Balpressar are machines designed to compress loose material into densely packed bales for easier storage, handling and transport. They are widely used in agriculture and industry to reduce volume and improve logistics. In agriculture, balpressar compress hay, straw, or other forage into compact bales that can be stored outdoors or wrapped for moisture control. In recycling and material processing, horizontal and vertical balers compress cardboard, paper, plastics, textiles and other recyclables into standardized units.

Most balpressar employ a hydraulic or mechanical ram inside a compression chamber. The operator loads material, the ram advances to compress the wad, and a tying system—often wire, string, or steel bands—secures the bale. Once tied, the bale is ejected from the chamber and can be stacked or wrapped.

There are several main types: agricultural balers, which include round balers and square balers; and industrial balers, which include vertical and horizontal models designed for continuous processing of recyclable materials. Some models are stationary, others are tractor-drawn or truck-mounted.

Advantages of balpressar include reduced volume, easier transportation, longer storage life for hay, and improved handling efficiency. Maintenance involves regular lubrication, bale chamber inspection, and ensuring tying mechanisms and safety guards function properly.
