Bajonetsluiting, often referred to as a bayonet mount, is a coupling mechanism used to quickly and securely attach an object to another. It is characterized by a central stud or lug on one component that fits into a slot or groove on the other. The first component is then rotated, typically a quarter turn, to lock the stud into a recessed or C-shaped portion of the slot. This action effectively secures the two parts together.
