Bajazet is a tragic opera composed by the Italian Baroque composer Georg Friedrich Händel. The work is based on the libretto by Nicola Minato, which in turn was adapted from the French tragedy Bajazet by Jean Racine. The opera was first performed in London on 13 May 1735 at the King’s Theatre in the Haymarket.
