Baiuvarii
The Baiuvarii were a Germanic people who inhabited the region of Bavaria in southeastern Germany. Their origins are not entirely clear, but they are believed to have emerged in the 6th century CE from a mixture of Germanic tribes, possibly including Suebians, Alemanni, and Thuringians, who had migrated into the area following the decline of Roman authority. The name "Baiuvarii" itself is thought to derive from a term meaning "Bavarian," indicating their settlement in the region.
The Baiuvarii established a duchy in the area, which eventually became a significant entity within the Frankish
