BabyIAXO
BabyIAXO is a small-scale prototype experiment designed to search for axion dark matter. It is a successor to the IAXO (International Axion Observatory) experiment, which is a larger, more ambitious project aiming for a more sensitive detection of axions. BabyIAXO serves as a testbed to validate the technologies and techniques planned for the full IAXO experiment before its construction.
The primary goal of BabyIAXO is to demonstrate the feasibility of key components of the IAXO design,
BabyIAXO utilizes a relatively compact toroidal magnetic field, which is crucial for the axion-to-photon conversion process.
