BTT

BTT, also known as BitTorrent Token, is a cryptocurrency created by the BitTorrent company, which itself was acquired by Tron Foundation in 2018. The token aims to incentivize participation in the BitTorrent peer-to-peer file-sharing network. Holders of BTT can use the token to speed up their downloads and uploads, gain access to exclusive content, or reward content creators directly.

The BTT token operates on the TRON blockchain, leveraging its high transaction speeds and low fees. Its primary utility is within the BitTorrent ecosystem, where it introduces a micro-payment system. Users can spend BTT to bid for faster download speeds from seeders, effectively creating a marketplace for bandwidth. Conversely, users can earn BTT by sharing their bandwidth and files.
