BMIarvoon

BMIarvoon is a term used in health informatics to denote the numeric body mass index value reported for an individual. The coinage combines BMI with the Finnish word arvoon, implying value or numeric value, and is used primarily in Finnish-language materials and in multilingual systems to refer to the BMI figure itself rather than its categorical interpretation.

The BMI is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared (kg/m^2). The BMIarvoon is that calculated number, typically shown to one or two decimal places.

Usage: In electronic health records, patient portals, and analytics dashboards, BMIarvoon serves as a precise numeric field that can be mapped to standard BMI categories in reporting. Some tools present both BMIarvoon and the corresponding category. For pediatric populations, BMI percentiles or BMI-for-age charts may be used in place of fixed categories.

Variants and limitations: BMI does not directly measure body fat or health risk; BMIarvoon should be interpreted with clinical context. The term is not a universal standard and may appear mainly in Finnish resources or niche health IT contexts.
