BFeldern

BFeldern is a municipality and town in the fictional country of Veridia, situated in the central Felder Plain near the Lir River. The municipality covers about 13 square kilometers and sits at an elevation of roughly 240 meters. It had an estimated population of 7,600 as of 2023, with a predominantly residential character and a mix of small businesses and light industry.

BFeldern originated in the medieval period around a parish church. It developed as a market settlement along routes linking northern and southern Veridia, and gained formal municipal status in the early 19th century. The arrival of the railway in the late 19th century spurred growth in manufacturing and services.

BFeldern is governed by a mayor and a municipal council elected for four-year terms. The council comprises 15 seats and is responsible for local services, planning, and budgeting.

The local economy centers on light manufacturing, food processing, and retail. Agriculture on the surrounding farmland remains important. BFeldern is connected by regional rail and a network of roads to larger urban centers, and hosts a small commercial port on the river.

The town preserves the 13th-century parish church of St. Peter and the BFeldern Museum, which covers local history. The BFeldern Cultural Festival, held each summer, showcases music, crafts, and regional cuisine. Education is provided by two primary schools and one secondary school; vocational training is available nearby.
