Ayudham

Ayudham is a term primarily used in Hinduism to refer to divine weapons or celestial armaments possessed by deities. These ayudhams are not mere tools but are often imbued with immense power, specific functions, and symbolic significance, representing the deity's attributes and authority. They are frequently depicted in religious iconography and described in ancient scriptures.

Each ayudham is associated with a particular god or goddess and plays a crucial role in mythological narratives, often used to combat evil forces, protect the righteous, or fulfill divine purposes. Examples of prominent ayudhams include the Sudarshana Chakra of Vishnu, the Trishula of Shiva, the Vajra of Indra, and the Gandiva of Arjuna. The creation, bestowal, and use of these divine weapons are often central to epic tales and devotional practices.
