Autorrealización

Autorrealización refers to the psychological need of individuals to reach their full potential. This concept is most famously associated with Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, where it sits at the pinnacle. It describes the desire to become everything that one is capable of becoming. Achieving autorrealización involves fulfilling one's unique talents, capabilities, and aspirations.

The path to autorrealización is often described as a continuous process rather than a final destination. It is characterized by self-awareness, personal growth, and a sense of purpose. Individuals who are autorrealized tend to be more creative, accepting of themselves and others, and possess a strong sense of ethics. They are often driven by intrinsic motivations, seeking growth and fulfillment for its own sake, rather than external rewards.

Maslow suggested that lower-level needs, such as physiological and safety needs, must be met before individuals can fully focus on higher-level needs like love, esteem, and ultimately, autorrealización. While Maslow's theory is influential, other psychological perspectives also touch upon the idea of self-fulfillment and personal growth, though perhaps with different terminology or emphasis. The pursuit of autorrealización is seen as a fundamental aspect of human motivation and well-being in many psychological frameworks.
