Autoionizációja refers to the process in which an atom or molecule spontaneously emits an electron after being excited to a state that lies above the ionization energy. This excited state can be achieved through various means, such as absorption of a photon, electron impact, or chemical reactions. Once in this high-energy configuration, the system is unstable and can relax to a lower energy state by ejecting an electron, thereby becoming ionized.
