Athenodoross
Athenodoros was a prominent Stoic philosopher and tutor to the Roman emperor Augustus. He was born in the town of Tarsus in Cilicia, which was a center of Stoic learning. Athenodoros studied under Posidonius, another renowned Stoic philosopher, and later traveled to Rome.
