Rural areas are often characterized by agricultural activities, forestry, or natural landscapes. The concept of a village can vary, but it generally implies a small cluster of houses, often with a shared history or local identity. The distinction between urban and rural is not always a sharp line and can involve a gradient of settlement density and services.
