Assembles

Assembles is the third-person singular present tense form of the verb assemble, meaning to bring together parts to form a whole, or to gather people or things into a group. The sense can be physical, such as assembling a piece of furniture or a machine, or abstract, such as assembling data, evidence, or a team. In computing, to assemble also refers to the process of translating assembly language into machine code by an assembler.

Etymology and form: the word derives from Old French assembler, from Latin ad- “toward” plus simulare “to place together” (related to simul- “together”).
