Ask.com, commonly written as Ask.com and formerly known as Ask Jeeves, is a web search engine and question-answering service. It began in the mid-1990s as a natural-language question-and-answer tool and was branded around a fictional valet named Jeeves before being renamed through corporate branding changes.

In the 2000s the service was acquired by IAC and rebranded to Ask.com. Since then it has focused on delivering direct answers and a community-driven Q&A component, alongside traditional search results from partners. The platform has experimented with various formats, including answer boxes and knowledge content, to complement standard web search.

In the modern search market, Ask.com operates as a smaller player relative to Google or Bing. It remains available as a general search engine and has continued to emphasize question-and-answer content and contextual information to aid informational queries.
