Asfars
Asfars, also known as Asfars al-Safa, are a group of stars located in the constellation of Sagittarius. They are part of the larger asterism known as the Teapot, which is formed by the brightest stars in the constellation. The Asfars are situated at the base of the Teapot, near the spout. The name "Asfars" is derived from the Arabic phrase "Asfar al-Safa," which translates to "the two forks of the road." This name reflects the distinctive shape of the stars, which resemble a forked path.
The Asfars consist of two main stars: Kaus Media (Delta Sagittarii) and Kaus Australis (Epsilon Sagittarii).
The Asfars are of particular interest to astronomers and stargazers due to their distinctive shape and brightness.
