Aseistakieltäytyminen

Aseistakieltäytyminen, meaning conscientious objection in Finnish, refers to the refusal to perform military service based on deeply held moral or religious beliefs. This right is recognized in Finland and allows individuals to opt for alternative civilian service instead of compulsory military service. The legal framework for conscientious objection was established to accommodate individuals whose ethical convictions prevent them from participating in armed conflict or military training.
