Arresø
Arresø is the largest natural lake in Denmark, situated in the northern Zealand region. It covers an area of approximately 39 square kilometers. The lake's origin dates back to the last Ice Age, formed by glacial meltwater. Its depth is relatively shallow, with an average depth of about 2.8 meters and a maximum depth of around 5.5 meters.
The lake is fed by several streams, most notably the Arrenå, and its outlet is the Bronholdt
Recreationally, Arresø is used for sailing, fishing, and kayaking. Several small villages and settlements are located
