Arkties
Arkties is a term that refers to the Arctic region, an area located around the North Pole. It is defined by the Arctic Circle, which is at approximately 66.5 degrees North latitude. This region encompasses parts of Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and the United States (Alaska). The Arctic is characterized by its extreme cold, with long, dark winters and short, cool summers. Much of the land is covered by ice and snow, and the surrounding ocean is largely frozen for much of the year, though sea ice extent has been declining.
The Arctic ecosystem is unique and fragile, supporting specialized flora and fauna adapted to the harsh conditions.
