Aralashuv

Aralashuv is a term used in Uzbek to denote the act of mixing or blending substances, as well as the resulting mixture. It is applied across several fields, including science, industry, and everyday life, to describe the combined state of two or more components.

In scientific and technical contexts, aralashuv can refer to both mixtures and alloys. A mixture is a combination of substances in which the components retain their own properties, and it can be homogeneous (uniform throughout) or heterogeneous (not uniform). An alloy, a specific type of aralashuv in metallurgy, is formed when elements—typically metals—are blended to produce a material with new properties, such as increased strength or hardness. Examples include bronze (copper and tin) and steel (iron with carbon and other elements).

Beyond chemistry and metallurgy, aralashuv appears in linguistics, sociology, and cultural studies to describe admixture or hybridization, such as the blending of languages, cultures, or genetic lineages.
