Aquos

AQUOS is a brand of consumer electronics from Sharp Corporation, best known for its line of LCD televisions. Introduced in the early 2000s, AQUOS helped popularize flat-panel LCD HDTVs and became Sharp's flagship display brand in many markets.

Over time AQUOS expanded to LED-backlit LCDs, 1080p and 4K models, and related home entertainment devices. The brand has featured Sharp's image processing and color technology, including Quattron color technology, which adds an additional yellow subpixel to expand color gamut and improve color reproduction. Later AQUOS models have supported high dynamic range (HDR) and improved upscaling.

In addition to televisions, the AQUOS name has appeared on Blu-ray players, soundbars, and in certain markets on smartphones and other mobile devices made by Sharp. The line is marketed worldwide, with particular strength in Sharp's home market of Japan, and has been distributed through electronics retailers and online outlets in various regions.

As a long-standing part of Sharp's consumer electronics lineup, AQUOS continues to represent the company's core LCD display technology and ongoing efforts in picture quality and digital connectivity.
