Apfuls
Apfuls, also known as apple fritters or apple dumplings, are a traditional dish originating from the Netherlands. They are made from a batter of flour, eggs, and milk, which is then filled with a mixture of diced apples, sugar, and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The batter is poured over the apple mixture and cooked until golden brown and crispy on the outside while remaining soft and moist on the inside. Apfuls are typically served warm, often with a dusting of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream. They are a popular dessert in the Netherlands and are often enjoyed during the fall and winter months when apples are in season. Apfuls can also be found in other countries, particularly in regions with Dutch influence, such as Indonesia and Suriname. The dish is relatively simple to prepare and can be customized with various apple varieties and additional ingredients.
