Anvendere

Anvendere is a noun used in Danish to denote a person who uses something, i.e., an end user or person who applies a tool, system, or service. It is formed from the verb anvende (to use) with an agent-noun suffix and can be translated as "the user" or "the end user" in English. In modern Danish, however, more everyday terms such as bruger are common, and anvendere is typically reserved for formal, technical, or legal writing.

The term appears most often in product documentation, technical standards, policy texts, or legal documents to specify the persons who will use a product or service. Because it is relatively specialised, it is less common in ordinary conversation and is more likely to be encountered in manuals, regulatory materials, or contractual language.

Related forms include anvendelse, meaning "use" or "application," and anvendt, meaning "used." These relate to the same root and appear frequently in Danish writing about technology, governance, or policy. In neighboring languages, cognates exist (for example Swedish användare), but Danish texts typically prefer bruge or brugere for routine reference to users.
