Antiihmisyydestä

Antiihmisyydestä, or the concept of anti-humanism, refers to a philosophical or ideological stance that fundamentally rejects or devalues human beings, human nature, or humanity as a whole. This rejection can manifest in various ways, from a belief in the inherent destructiveness or futility of human existence to a view that human concerns are secondary to other forces or entities.

Historically, elements of anti-humanist thought can be found in various philosophical traditions, including some interpretations of existentialism, nihilism, and certain critiques of Enlightenment ideals. These perspectives often question the traditional emphasis on human reason, autonomy, and inherent worth. Some anti-humanist arguments stem from a perceived failure of humanity to achieve moral progress or to live in harmony with nature or other species.

In some contexts, anti-humanism can be associated with dystopian visions or ideologies that advocate for the subjugation or elimination of human populations, often in favor of a non-human intelligence, a natural order, or a radically different form of existence. It is important to distinguish anti-humanism from misanthropy, which is a general dislike of humankind, as anti-humanism is typically a more systematic philosophical or ideological position. The term can also be used to describe actions or attitudes that are detrimental to human well-being or dignity.
