Anthererna

Anthererna is a fictional genus of flowering plants devised for speculative fiction and worldbuilding. In its in-universe taxonomy, it is placed in the family Antheraceae within the order Asterales, a position chosen to evoke familiar floral groups while remaining clearly not real.

The genus comprises several species of herbaceous perennials with slender, hairless stems; leaves are lanceolate with wavy margins. Inflorescences are heads consisting of numerous small yellow disk flowers surrounded by a ring of orange-tinged bracts.
