Andmeosade

Andmeosade is a fictional mineral concept used in world-building and speculative fiction. It refers to a rare material described as having extraordinary luminescence and energy-related properties, making it a common plot device in science fiction narratives.

The term has no single canonical etymology; different authors attribute it to different linguistic roots within their imagined universes. In most uses, andmeosade functions as a high-value mineral that embodies scarcity and technical promise.

In the fiction, andmeosade occurs as hexagonal prismatic crystals that glow blue to violet under ultraviolet light. Reported hardness ranges around 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale, and it is often described as a silicate-rich compound with trace rare-earth elements. The chemical composition is variable across works.

In narrative settings, andmeosade is said to form in deep mantle–like environments or subduction zone ophiolites, and early in-universe discovery stories place its origin in late 21st‑century expeditions.
