Ancloera

Ancloera is a city and regional capital in the fictional nation of Valoria, located on the eastern coast along the Ancla Strait. The name is of uncertain origin and is first documented in medieval chronicles. The city developed from a fishing village into a commercial port during the late medieval period and later grew as a regional administrative center in the early modern era.

Ancloera sits at a natural harbor bordered by limestone cliffs and the Ancla River. The city has a temperate, maritime climate with mild winters and warm summers. The surrounding metropolitan area includes hillside residential districts and a busy waterfront commercial zone.

Ancloera is governed by a city council of twenty members and a directly elected mayor. It serves as the capital of the Valorian Metropolitan Region, with local affairs—housing, transport, schooling, and urban planning—administered by the city government within the framework of national law.

The port remains central to the economy, handling container traffic, fisheries, and cruise ships. Logistics, light manufacturing, and a growing information-technology sector complement services such as finance and hospitality.
