Analoogvoolumõõtja

Analoogvoolumõõtja is an Estonian term that translates to analog flow meter. An analog flow meter is a device used to measure the rate of fluid flow, either liquid or gas, without using digital electronics. Instead, it employs mechanical components and a display that moves to indicate the flow rate. These devices typically rely on principles such as differential pressure, velocity, or volumetric displacement to determine how much fluid is passing through a system.

Common types of analog flow meters include rotameters, which use a float in a tapered tube, and paddle wheel meters, where a rotating wheel's speed is proportional to the flow rate. Other examples include turbine meters and some types of differential pressure meters like orifice plates and venturi tubes. The output of an analog flow meter is usually presented on a dial or a scale, often with a needle indicating the current flow. While less precise and feature-rich than their digital counterparts, analog flow meters are valued for their simplicity, durability, and often lower cost. They are frequently used in applications where a continuous, visual indication of flow is sufficient and where the absence of power is not an issue.
