Analizzavate

Analizzavate is the second-person plural imperfect indicative form of the Italian verb analizzare, meaning you all were analyzing or you all analyzed, depending on context. It is a regular form for -are verbs, built from the stem analizz- plus the imperfect endings: -avo, -avi, -ava, -avamo, -avate, -avano. For voi, the ending is -avate.

This form is used to describe past actions that were ongoing, habitual, or repeated, or to set the background in a narrative. It does not indicate a completed past action as the passato remoto or passato prossimo might; rather, it emphasizes continuity or repetition in the past. The imperfect indicative is distinct from the imperfect subjunctive, which for the same verb would appear as analizzaste in the voi form.
