Anafülaktilisi, also known as anaphylaxis, is a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction that can occur rapidly after exposure to an allergen. It is a systemic reaction, meaning it affects multiple organ systems in the body. Common triggers for anaphylaxis include certain foods such as peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, and milk, as well as insect stings, medications, and latex.

The symptoms of anaphylaxis typically appear within minutes to an hour after exposure to the trigger. These can include hives, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, wheezing, a drop in blood pressure, rapid heart rate, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and a feeling of impending doom. In severe cases, anaphylaxis can lead to shock and loss of consciousness.

Diagnosis is usually based on the characteristic symptoms and a history of recent exposure to a known allergen. Treatment of anaphylaxis involves immediate administration of epinephrine, also known as adrenaline, which can reverse the life-threatening symptoms. Emergency medical services should be contacted immediately. Following the initial treatment, individuals who have experienced anaphylaxis need to be monitored closely and may require further medical care. Prevention involves strict avoidance of known allergens and carrying an epinephrine auto-injector at all times. Understanding the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis is crucial for prompt recognition and treatment.
